Where we have a genuine affiliate relationship for a card, its "Apply" link is an affiliate link and we may earn money if you apply through it — the link and the disclosure right next to it will both say so plainly. Where we don't yet have that relationship, the link says so too, and takes you to a plain search for the issuer's own page instead. Which card we recommend to you is never affected by either case. The recommendation comes first, from a calculation based on public rewards data. An affiliate link, when one exists, is only where that already-decided recommendation happens to point.
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission requires "clear and conspicuous" disclosure whenever a recommendation or endorsement comes with a financial relationship attached (16 C.F.R. Part 255). Canada's Competition Bureau expects similarly clear disclosure of material connections under the Competition Act's misleading advertising provisions. This page exists to satisfy both, honestly rather than just formally.
When you tell PullThisCard where you're spending and which cards you have, the Service runs a calculation: multiplying each card's stated reward rate by the real-world value of the points or cash back it earns, adjusted for any stated preference you've set (like prioritizing travel rewards over cashback). The card with the highest result wins. That calculation has no input for "which company pays us the most"; it isn't a variable the math considers at all.
If we ever introduced a paid placement, sponsored card, or any feature where compensation does affect what's shown to you, it would be labeled clearly as such, separately from genuine recommendations, not folded into the ranking silently.
This disclosure is intended to satisfy the FTC's Endorsement Guides (16 C.F.R. Part 255). In addition to this page, a short disclosure statement appears directly on the main app page near any "Apply Now" link. The FTC requires disclosure to be clear, conspicuous, and proximate to the relevant content, not only on a separate linked page.
This disclosure is intended to reflect the Competition Bureau's expectations around clear disclosure of material connections in promotional content under the Competition Act. The same inline disclosure that appears near affiliate links on the main app page applies to Canadian visitors as well.
PullThisCard operates in three places, and this disclosure covers all of them equally: the main web app at pullthiscard.com, individually generated card information pages on this site, and a browser extension that shows a card recommendation when it detects a checkout page. The extension can display the same "Apply" links (with the same inline disclosure) as the main app. We disclose this here — and in any affiliate program application we submit — because some affiliate programs have specific terms about browser extensions and software-assisted promotion, and we'd rather be evaluated on exactly what we operate than describe ourselves as only a content website. We do not use issuer logos or card artwork; card identity is shown as plain text and our own network-color badges only. Each card's official terms, including its name and current offer, are set solely by its issuer.
